 Wow!  Over 300 people showed up to the ePIFanyNow party on Sunday, February 12 at the Michigan State University Federal Credit Union.  There were 42 teams telling their stories of how they passed kindness forward.  It was such an incredible day and if you think about it all those people touched another soul, so double the 300 to 600 people effected by the power of being positive and nice.  I am sure out of the 600 even more people were effected.  A ripple effect took place!

Steve Hartman with CBS News New York showed up to document the entire event.  It will be aired on the CBS Evening News with Scott Pelley Friday, February 17, 2012.  ePIFanyNow is making national news.  I’m so proud of all the people who showed up to perform random acts of kindness.  I also want to send a BIG THANK YOU out to all our sponsors especially the Michigan State University Federal Credit Union for hosting the event.  Together we accomplished something  that can’t be measured, we’ve impacted lives -I hope for the better!

YOUR_STORY: Last Christmas shopping days of the year (last year) I had to do the weekly family shopping trip.  I went to my local grocery store and when it was time for me to check out I headed up to the lanes.  It was beyond overflowing.  The store had pushed back the clothing department that borders the checkout lanes for the overflow of people.  I found one of those U-scan grocery lanes where there is no limit and I was four people back.

The lady at the checkout had a teenage daughter with her.  But I noticed that the two other ladies in front of me were alone.  I asked the lady in front of me to keep pulling my cart forward so that I could go up and bag the groceries to help us all get through faster.

I was so awesome to help them then other people in other lanes started doing the same.  One lady from two lanes away finished her checkout and came down to bag my groceries for me.  As I left there were “baggers” on every U-scan lane. 

Woo Hoo! 

I plan on doing that again this year.  It is actually a great way for me not to dread those necessary trips that have to be done at the busiest times.
